President's Day 2021

Half the club, including three new members, gathered for the annual President's day.

President Jill announced the teams and explained the game.

We played the yardstick game where every wood within one yard of the jack counted. This encouraged us to practise our drawing skills.

The green was very wet after 42mm of rain in the preceding 24hours, but that didn't dampen our enjoyment of the day.

However, scoring each end did take somewhat longer than usual.  The end result - the now traditional draw - was celebrated afterwards with pate, bread, cheese and Beryl's excellent cake.
