Francis Drake BC well placed at Danson Park Open

For the second year Rob Warnes, Colin Smith, Jeanette and Mick Singer represented Francis Drake at the Danson Park annual Bank Holiday Open Bowls Competition.

They played 6 games of 6 ends each and enjoyed playing against bowlers from a range of different clubs including a team of visually impaired bowlers. It was a most enjoyable day, again very well organised and well supported with 36 teams participating.

The first three places were decided on shot difference as they all had 16 points. The Francis Drake team was only a couple of places behind on 13 points having won four games, lost one and drawn one.

They are looking forward to returning next year when hopefully at least one more team from Francis Drake may join them.
