Francis Drake Bowls Club

THE SEASON IS OVER BUT..........

Outdoor bowling is now finished but club members will be keeping in touch at the various social events planned for the winter - including the Christmas meal and a return visit to the Brick Lane Music Hall.

The club also has a number of indoor fixtures (see fixtures page for details) and many of the members belong to the Lewisham Indoor Bowls Club. Regular coaching is available there for anyone wishing to learn to bowl, or develop their game.

Ted and the Glendale team will be continuing their good work on the green in preparation for next season and club members are exploring both funding and practical solutions to enhance the facilities we have as the club continues to grow and develop.

Advance notice - we have been notified that the Kent County Coaching Team will be visiting us at Francis Drake B.C. to run a Bowls Skills Day on Tuesday 21st May 2019. Our own coaches Ron and Jeanette are both members of this team and have travelled to various clubs throughout Kent over the last few years to assist in the delivery of what is a very comprehensive practical day covering all aspects of the game.
