Jill arranged for teams to be selected randomly by members picking rink numbers out of the bag. The scoring was different on this occassion with all bowls within a yard of the jack when the end was complete scoring a point. The special 'yard sticks' recently donated to the club came in very handy and there was much hilarity as scores were counted up - not that it really mattered too much who won. It did however prove to be a very useful practice in drawing to the jack as more than one person discovered if you moved the jack you were likely to disadvantage your own team as well as the opposition!
Following the game everyone retired to the marquee to enjoy the delicious homemade scones, jam cream and strawberries (thanks to all who contributed).
