Just for once, August Bank Holiday Monday stayed dry so everyone enjoyed the whole day.
Play was very different to usual with 8 singles games going on at any one time but rather than the conventional straight rinks play was in any and every direction. When seven ends were complete the two players left the green to be replaced by another two. It was often very confusing especially when jacks were close to one another but great fun was had by all and much laughter heard. The games were followed by an excellent BBQ - Thanks chefs!
Sylvia Lacey, overall winner with a score of 9.5, received her prize of a punnet of fruit.
