Winter update.

Social events this winter included a visit to the Brick Lane Music hall to see the ‘adult’ pantomime Babes in the Wood – a great time was had by all.

Many members maintain and improve their bowls skills as members of Lewisham Indoor Bowls Club.

Francis Drake members have played 2 games as a club against indoor clubs. Losing overall to Cyphers in January – but one out of the four triples managed a win. On Valentine’s Day in a match against Lewisham it was a narrow defeat overall 107 – 96 but good wins by two of the six triples.
A further match is scheduled against Lewisham on Sat 21st March (not 22nd as previously advised).
Despite some problems with the clubhouse we are finding ways around this and looking forward to the approaching outdoor season.
